What methods do you use for keeping files from rusting? I noticed a bit of rust on one of my steel nut slotting files. Would chalk be a good solution?

79: If tools are rusting you may have a problem of too humid conditions or secretions from your hands that cause the rusting. Some folks are cursed with hands that do this but most are lucky and not have a problem. Chalk is generally used on files to prevent build up in the file when filing certain materials such as aluminum. Have never heard of anyone using chalk to prevent rusting. It might even take up moisture if your problem is excess humidity.

Seems the files rust where I touch them. I'm thinking of keeping the stored with silica gel packs. It's just the stew mac nut slotting files I'm having this issue with. Some of my tools including these travel with me a lot, so they're subjected to high humidity and times.
